Mandy Moore - Owner, Artistic Director

Make Your Move Performing Arts Studio is her most treasured accomplishment. Her vision
o create a "safe haven" for children to study the art of dance is a dream come true.

Ms. Mandy trained in her mother's dance studio that originated in Memphis, Tennessee then
later relocated to Auburn, Al. She has continually trained and studied for the past 30 years under Master educators such as Jane Bischoff, Jerry Leatherwood, Al Gilbert, Darryl Retter, Joe Tremaine, Barry Lather, Joan Lather (Miss Puffy), Doug Caldwell, Janice Barringer, Frank Hatchett, and
Thommie Retter to name a few.  

Ms. Mandy teaches tap, jazz, hip hop, ballet and contemporary/lyrical. Her use of age appropriate music and choreography and the ability to create an instant rapport with children of all ages is one
of her greatest talents. 

 

Her daughter Mallory Hagan is her biggest inspiration,Miss America 2013.

Mandy has received numerous awards for her innovative choreography for her competition teams known as the MYM Dynasty Teams. In 2014 the MYM Dynasty acheived winning Top Studio and
Grand National Champions at Star Systems Talent Competitions in Panama City, Fl.  
Her credits also include: National Competition Adjudicator, Advisory Board Member for
"StageWear LA" costume company, and script and choreography awards for local and regional pageants affiliated with the Miss Alabama/Miss America Organization.

Ms. Mandy has recently been honored with receiving the prestigious "Dance Teacher of the Year" award from the Dance Teacher Connection (national organization) affiliated with
MusicWorks Unlimited out of Los Angeles, Ca.

Jaime Moore - Dynasty Program Co-Director, Artistic Director
Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Acrobatics

Ms. Jaime has traveled the United States teaching and educating numerous high school and
college dance teams with the Marching Auxillaries Dance Camps of America. Her degree in Commercial Entertainment from Columbia State was very useful in landing the prestigious position of "Show Captain" for the NickToons Summer Jam Show at Paramount's King's Island in Cincinnati, Ohio. During her two years at PKI she was honored with the coveted "IAPA Award" for Most Outstanding Performer in a Children's Show. 

This exciting dancer, motivator, educator, and choreographer has worked with Justin Timberlake, Henry LeTang, Marcus Alford, Jerry Leatherwood, Eric Henderson, Donald Frison, Tommy Sutton, Frank Hatchett, Joe Tremaine, Hank Crabtree, Nilo Toledo, and many more. Jaime was also a
featured dancer in the "DC Talk" video "My Friend (So Long)". 
Her goals are many! While educating dancers for the last 20 years, her priority has always been to instruct dance in a positive manner, to create thinking and intelligent dancers who are not only technically brilliant, but creative and passionate about their art form.
Many of Jaime's proteges operate successful dance studios and have appeared on Broadway,
in films, and on television.
Other Credits include: Dance Educator/Master Teacher with National Conventions;
"Dancewerks", "Applause Intesity", and "Fuzion". The only Certified teacher in Alabama of the "Acrobatic Arts" curriculum out of Canada. 
National Award Winning Choreographer, National Competition Adjudicator, and mommy
to her 9 year old daughter, Camden who lights up her life each day!

 Ms Jaime has been a key faculty member at MYM for the past 11 years! We are so fortunate that
she decided to "settle down", relocate to Alabama, and help Ms. Mandy develop and grow the
MYM mission statement and philosophies.

Erica

Erica Williams- Dynasty Program Co-Director,  Acrobatic Lead, Lyrical, Jazz Technique, Choreographer

Erica Williams is in her 3rd year of teaching at MYM and has been dancing since the age of three. Miss Erica hails from Wexford, Pennsylvania where she grew up and studied the art of Acrobatics, Lyrical, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap  and Ballet at Studio 19 Complex. 


She has performed on many famous stages including Madison Square Garden, Radio City Music Hall, the center of Times Square, and Disney World. She also Made it to Vegas on the hit reality TV show  Americas Got Talent.

She is currently enrolled as a senior at Auburn University where she is majoring in business administration. Now she is continuing her education at Auburn University where she is also a local title holder for the Miss Alabama program.

Jennifer Ambrose - Director of Starlet Academy, ZUMBA certified, Educator, Choreographer

Ms. Jen first began her dance studies with Marty Moore of Dance Syndicate in Auburn, Al.  After kicking Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2004,  Miss Jennifer decided to start checking items off her "bucket list" and returned to dance in 2005. She quickly devoted all of her spare time to learning, studying and absorbing everything she could about teaching, performing and choreographing.

 

Her organizational skills andability to confidently adapt to any situation are infectious! Being an 11 year cancer survivor (2015) gives Ms. Jen a unique energy and zest for life that is truly un-paralelled! She loves teaching all genres of dance and fitness, along with being a "SuperMommy" to her greatest achievements, baby girls Stella and Charlee, and son, Maxwell. Her courageous and inspiring personal story coupled with her love for all things dance/fitness is whywe love having Ms. Jen as a vital faculty member at MYM! 

Sandra

Sandra Spikes - Office Manager, Accounts Manager

Ms. Sandra is our amazing Office Manager at Make Your Move. She is the person that can answer all of your questions, register you for classes, size you for shoes, check on your account and make sure you are having the best experience possible ~ ALL with a SMILE! :)

She is the mom of 2 beautiful dancers and loves being a part of the "hustle and bustle" of the
dance studio. If you need ANYTHING at all, Ms. Sandra is your "go to!"

Ms. Sandra is the "glue" that holds our faculty together and we are so lucky to have her as our
office 
aficionado.

Abby Freeman - Tap Technique, Jazz, Musical Theater, Hip Hop, Choreographer


Born and raised in Opelika, AL Abby first fell in love with dance at three years old.  She was a member of the National award winning MYM Dynasty where she served as team captain, dance captain and finally the Dynasty captain.
Abby has trained in tap, ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and hip hop.  Performing is her first love  but Abby has recently found great joy in teaching and choreographing for the dancers of Make Your Move. 

 

Abby has been an integral part of the MYM faculty since 2017.

Jenna

Jenna Dickey - Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Acro, Super Stretch, Stretch/Turns/Leaps

Jenna Martina Dickey began her earliest training in Dayton, Ohio under the direction of Jeri Dickey and Barbara Pontecorvo. She started attending summer intensives at age 12  with Ballet Chicago, followed by Saratoga Springs and Miami City Ballet. At 13, she attended The School of American Ballet, and stayed year-round, training with Kay Mazzo, Darci Kistler,Suki Schorer, Susan Pilarre, Peter Martins and Jock Soto until she graduated from high school.

 

During her 4 years at SAB, Jenna performed Coppelia with the New York City Ballet, Scenes de Ballet, by Christopher Wheeldon, Balanchine’s, Who Cares?, and Cortege Hongrois, as well as Gentian Doda's piece for New York Choreographic Institute and several lecture demonstrations and various performances at The Lincoln Center.

 

In 2010,  Jenna was featured in Pointe Magazine in the article STEP UP YOUR TRAINING. (pictured with Kay Mazzo, director of SAB) In 2011 and 2012, Jenna was the guest artist with East Alabama Community Ballet’s the Nutcracker, dancing the role of the Sugar Plum Fairy.

 

In June 2012; Jenna joined as a Corps de Ballet artist with the Montgomery Ballet under the direction of Darren McIntyre. Within a year, she was promoted to a Corphées Artist and
performed multiple roles including Carrabosse & The Lilac Fairy in "The Sleeping Beauty", Kitri in "Don Quixote", the Black Swan variation and coda of Swan Lake, and Snow Queen and the Sugar Plum Fairy/Marie in Darren McIntyre's The Nutcracker.

Currently, Jenna is a senior at Auburn University and we are thrilled to have her as a MYM Faculty member for her 3rd season!
